IN MEMORIAM
Dear Club Members, It is with great sadness that the Chesapeake world has lost one of its greatest supporters. Most of you knew Loretta Irish, mother of Gary Irish. She was the finest example of great sportsmanship, as she could be found ringside holding onto Chesapeakes, cheering on the handlers, and most times behind the camera. Loretta always planned her winter getaway so that she would be back in time for the Detroit Supported entry, bringing her famous Potato salad. She enjoyed a good time, laughing, and was always willing to help out. Since
1987, Loretta had attended every 2 out of 3 ACC National Specialties
where she could be found manning the booth for Chesapeake related items
sold by her daughter-in-law, Dorene Irish. She attended many many
Supported entries and also helped man the booth at the Michigan Duck
Hunters Festival with Gary and Dorene promoting the Chesapeake and
selling wares. She loved the Chesapeakes with all her heart and
will be missed by all who knew her. IRISH,
Loretta M. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Luke Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Visitation hours are 4-8PM Sunday and 1-8PM Monday at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Irish will be at the church 12:30PM Tuesday until the time of the Mass. Loretta was born in Manistique, Michigan on August 22, 1923, the daughter of the late, Francis and Mina Multhaupt. She was a longtime resident of Flint and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She married Lawrence Irish May 27, 1946. She leaves behind 2 children, Larry J. and wife Debra Irish; Gary D. and wife Dorene Irish; 2 grandchildren, Kristi and Kevin; 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and Jenna; 1 brother, Benjamin and wife Eleanore Multhaupt; 2 sisters-in-law, Eldora Brocieus of Mason and Karen Irish of Grand Ledge; many nieces, nephews and Euchre friends.
