The date is October 29 2011

The Tournament rules are simple:

You can hunt anywhere in Bay,  Saginaw ,  Tuscola , or Huron Counties.

You can use any legal method of taking waterfowl.

Party size can be of any number but there must be at least one club member in the hunting party or in the field, and you gotta have at least one member owned Chessie in the hunting party.

This is a Tournament, so he with the mostest wins!! Actually, you must follow the limit rules set by the DNR in the 2011 Waterfowl Hunting Digest, which state, 6 ducks, 2 geese, 5 mergansers, 15 coots, and 8 snipe. In the field you may not "party hunt", but for the tournament count 1 person can "claim" others birds as long as the count is within the legal limit.

That's it for the rules of the tournament. If you are going to hunt, to be legal you are going to need all of your licenses, which are the Federal Watefowl Stamp, Michigan Small Game License, and Michigan Waterfowl License.

We will meet back at the Lamp Lighter Restaurant at  2:00 pm  in  Sebewaing  for a late lunch, sitting bull session, and to determine the winner of the first annual Michigan Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club Duck Hunting Tournament. Their address is  8850 Unionville Rd. Sebewaing .

If you decide to not go the resaurant, please tell someone that is going to the restaurant that you will not be there, so we do not assume the worst and believe you are still out on the bay somewhere!!

Remember, where ever you go this season and what ever style of waterfowling you do, have fun, think safety.
