AKC Sanctioned 'A' Match & Fun Day


Guests and family are always welcome! You don't have to be a club memeber to attend.

Same as last year. Get together, do some work with the dogs, eat & HAVE FUN! ;-) There will be a silent auction too!

NOTE: Judging of the Match will be at 11:00am. We have the area reserved from 8am-5pm.

Details: Seven Lakes – Dickinson Shelter
This pavilion is rented for the entire day and is available from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm just for us.

The Shelter - Rustic shelter. Secluded area, short walk to fishing pier. No water or electric. 45 parking spaces. Group grill. 6 14ft and 4 8ft picnic tables. 50 ft to vault toilets and playground. Horse shoes, basketball, volleyball, and swings available.

Driving Directions: To get to the park from I-75 take exit 101 and go west on Grange Hall Road. Go approximately 3 miles to Fish Lake Road. Turn North on Fish Lake Road, the entrance to the park is less than ½ mile on the west side of the road. To get to the park from US-23, take exit 79 and go east on Silver Lake Road, which turns into Main Street/Grange Hall Road. Go approximately 5 miles to Fish Lake Road, turn North. Entrance to the park is less than ½ mile on the west side of the road

Burgers and Hot Dogs are being provided. If you desire or need something else, you are welcome to bring it. We can make room on the grill. If you can, please bring a dish to pass.

Clothing to get wet with (kayak in), bumpers for your dog(s), towels. Try out kayaking with your dog – be prepared to get wet
Take your dog for a swim, do a little water training with your dog and with others of a like mind, Hike Visit with “chessie” people. We will have some agility equiptment there too.

Dogs should NOT be allowed to run loose and unsupervised at any time, and should be on a 6ft leash if not being trained.
This is a State public area and there will be other people and potentially other dogs, consideration to others is mandatory.
It will be August – please take special notice of the weather conditions and dogs in vehicles.

There is plenty of room to set up a few crates under the pavilion or in the grassy/shady areas near the pavilion.
Pick up after yourself and your dogs (poop) - Leave the area as you found it.


There is camping at the Seven Lakes State Park

• Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft., under immediate control, and never left unattended. Always clean up after your pets. Pets are not allowed in any building unless they are qualified service animals.

• Pets and glass containers are not allowed within a water or land area designated as a swim beach.

• MI State Parks require a passport on all motorized vehicles that enter a park. Non-resident annual passport is $31.10. Non-resident Daily Passport is $9.00. Non-resident towed vehicle duplicate is $6.00. Michigan residents can purchase their vehicle recreation passport for $11.00 or their motorcycle recreation passport for $5.00 when they renew their license plate. For more information visit
